The technical stuff...

Our configurator tool is intended as a first step to help you visualise your requirements and get a fast-track price for your project.

Trusses are structural, so it’s important to get them right. We've included some important technical information below. If you need a second opinion, your builder or engineer can advise - or you’re welcome to call us and talk it through.

Technical drawings & structural calculations

Each 'roof system' you purchase requires an accompanying Truss Design Model to be compatible with our CNC manufacture equipment.

The cost of this model is included - we charge for the cost of creating one model per truss design type (i.e. Queen, King etc). The one-off price includes as many quantity of a particular truss as you like, but each different style of truss needs a seperate design model, signed off by you prior to manufacture.

When you place your order we'll discuss the exact dimensional details and roof layout, to provide an accurate 3D model, along with purlins and ridge, if required.

Note - Prices can change...

Whilst all our trusses are designed to be structurally sound, all trusses do need Structural Calculations specific to your location and situation. You can purchase a structural calculations package through us or obtain them from your preferred engineer.

  • If there are any differences between the required section sizes or design and the original we will need to update the price accordingly. Any changes would be exactly pro-rata with the change in the volume of the material.

  • Structural calculations may also affect the specifications and therefore price of the truss may change after the structural calculations are completed.

  • You do not need specific planning permission for an oak truss, however, check that you have planning consent for the overall building project you are undertaking. We are unable to refund due to failed planning.
